Has anyone done the land and sea? Do you have to pay for the bus to take you to and from the cruise? we are planning a 4 night cruise in 2011 for our dd 13th bday and want to stay at the park for a few days after, on the cruise website it says ground transportation is $69 per person . I was wondering if thats if you only do the cruise. any thoughts?

That is from airport to cruise and then cruise to resort... it is not free like Magical express. That Magical express from the resort to airport is free..... this is if you do cruise first. If you do it the other way around, you still pay for 2 disney transfers($35 a piece) that involve yhe cruise. That is why some people find it cheaper to do the land and sea on their own with other forms of transportation.

ANY transportation to or from the port from ANY starting point, YOU have to pay for, even if it's a Disney Cruise Line bus.

Disney's Magical Express is very strictly between Orlando International Airport and your Disney owned-and-operated resort ... it can be done one-way or round-trip.

So let's say you do a land and sea package. Let's say you start out staying at a Disney resort for a few days, and then go on the cruise, and then from the cruise go back home. The ride from the airport to your resort is free (you still have to make reservations for Disney's Magical Express, but it's free). But the ride from the resort to the port and then the ride from the port to the airport, THOSE rides you must pay for. You can pay Disney to drive you on DCL buses, or you can arrange your own transportation.
