Just curious - on any given day - how many people are in each of the 4 parks individually? I really have no idea if it could be 10,000 - 50,000 - 100,000. Just a general number would be appreciated!!

When we were there a couple of days before Christmas we were told that the parking lot holds 12,000 cars and there were 11,000 in it at that time. Conservatively figure an average of 3 people per car and you have 33,000 people. Add to that all those that came by bus, boat and Monorail and I'm just guessing, but I think you could figure 60,000 easy.

When I was a cast member I remember them saying that MK would close at a capacity of 50,000 people. But now I did a quick search and I found that it says 100,000 for MK, I think this is quite a large number for that park alone so it could be a number for one of the other parks....not 100% sure though

Each park has its own capacity number, and these numbers are not firm. They are changed constantly, depending on the input of sophisticated computer software, which calculates based not only on which attractions/stores/restaurants are open, but which sections of the queues are open, how many ride vehicles are in operation, etc.

For instance, if SSE is not operational for any given period of time, Epcot's capacity is likely decreased by many thousands (such a large number because it is an omnimover with incredibly high hourly "throughput").

As has also been discussed on Intercot many times, there are various phases of capacity, on a scale from 1 to 4. The park isn't truly considered "full to capacity" until a phase 4 close is reached. This means no more guests are admitted at all (until some have left, that is).

Anyway, Disney remains tightlipped about even the ballpark figures for capacity. I've read in some places that the Magic Kingdom can hold 100,000 people at a time. Let's just say I've never seen anything close to that! That would be an extremely unpleasant visit for everyone. The highest I've ever seen, which was a phase 4 close on New Years Eve two years ago, splits the difference between that number and Humphrey's guess :secret:

Interestingly, Epcot's capacity is higher even than Magic Kingdom's!

Thanks!! That's my curious mind getting the best of me!

80,000 people is STAGGERING!!!

Oh well - be at the world in 16 days - just can't wait!
