Looking at the Boardwalk resort for a trip this spring or for Food and Wine in October. Its obvious what a "boardwalk view" room is, but what is a "preferred view" room?? the points are the same.

A preferred view will be pool or lanndscape/garden view (no parking lot), but not a view of the Boardwalk. Standard will be a parking lot view. Hope this helps.

The way I understand it the view that faces the water way that connects to the Studios is considered the Preferred View.

As previously stated, the preferred view is anything that faces a pool, waterway or garden. Standard view units face outward, overlooking the Resort entrance and the parking lots. These are the ones you see to your left when you arrive. Remember too that when you arrive and are looking at the entrance of the Resort, the Villas are on the left and the Inn is on the right.

Hope this helps.

We stayed at the BWV a few times the best view we had was a standard view. We we on the top floor at the last room and could see the fireworks at EPCOT every night.

I agree. The preferred view overlooking one of the quiet pools wasn't great. And the standard view lets you watch buses arrive and depart.
