BD Cake For Polynesian

We are celebrating my DD's 21st birthday by going to the luau. We have always wanted to do this but never have. Unknown to my DD family is coming in for the show/dinner. I called to see about getting a special birthday cake and was told they only do the standard single layer 8 or 10 inch cake.
The CM was really great and suggested that I talk to the GF and see if they would make the cake and bring it over to the Polynesian.
Has anyone ever done this or know how to make this happen?

The Poly is known (and not in a good way) for specialty cakes. They will do their best to steer you to the standard podium cakes. When people have had any success at all, it was by coordinating with the GF bakery.
