Help! Postponing Feb Trip to April...

I'm bummed out about having to postpone our DW trip from February 5-12, 2010 to sometime in April 2010(hopefully). I'm from WI and do not like hot weather and want something off-peak with less crowds since we have 3 kids...
Does anyone know when the best time in April is to go...Weather wise and crowd wise??

Weather-wise it's all about the same. Check the historic weather conditions page in Info Central for exact details over the last 5 years to get a good idea of what to expect from the weather. Generally it's not too bad. Low to mid 80s for highs, but it can get into the 90s (like this year).

As for crowds, first two weeks of April you want to avoid because, due to Easter, those tend to be two of the most crowded weeks of the year (especially Easter week). However, the farther into April you go, the warmer it gets. The last week of April generally isn't too bad in terms of crowds. Or, at least, it wasn't. This year the end of April and first of May were packed out, but we'll have to see if that's a one year aberration from the 4/3 deal Disney offered or if that will be a trend. No way to know right now. To answer your question, though, later in April is less crowded.

Late April/early May weather is very nice. the humidity is not super high yet and temps are typically in the low 80s.

As the OP said, avoid the first two weeks because they lapse over Easter. It will be crowded then.
