Can anyone tell me what to expect weather-wise for late April? We are going April 24-May 1 and from the historical weather - looks like it's a low rain month with temps warm enough to swim late afternoon. Should we bring jackets for night? Any info would be helpful for this time of year. Thanks!!

We always go the first week in May and the weather is perfect, mid 80's and no rain with a little humidity.Your week should be close to the same.I think it's the best time to go.

We went a week earlier than that in April this year. It was lovely, pleasant, warm, very little rain, and jackets were not needed at night (unless you get chilly very easily, then maybe a light one). I get cold easily and I never needed a jacket or sweatshirt.

One word...BEAUTIFUL.

No humidity. Swimming temps. No jackets at night. Our favorite time.

As always, it depends on the year, but historically it's comfortable. The first week of may this year we had highs 92-94 while we were there, but it's usually mid 80s. Rain varies. Some years dry, some years not depending on the cycle, but usually the rainy season doesn't start until later in May.

We usually head down the 3rd week in April and the weather is wonderful. Usually in the upper 70's and sunny, nice change from NE.

We're going at that time, as well. Are the lovebugs out then?

Some, but lovebugs are usuallly at their worst in the fall.

we have gone the last three years at that time and are going next year april 25-may 4. the weather has always been wonderful...i think there was a shower 2 years ago around 8pm - we were at dinner. it is nice and warm but not much humidity...and after spending winters in cold and grey pittsburgh - it is a nice way to kick off the summer....love it:cloud9:
