So to give you some background; in April of 2008 I was at 300 lbs. Since then, through diet and exercise, I have reduced by weight to 185 lbs. With this said though, I absolutely cannot wait to get to Disney and just totally gorge myself on all the tasty foods that are available. This is not to say I starve myself now or anything. I just love good food and Disney has an abundance of it. Of course I'm going to run the half marathon when I'm there so I am not too concerned about gaining a bunch of weight back. Cheers!

Way to go on the weight loss! Wish I had the willpower to join you in that! I went from 310 to 290, but that is as far as I got this year. Still trying though!

Enjoy all the good food at WDW --- just do some extra walking during the day. That half-marathon should really help too!!

Big applause for you! And of course, I understand how you feel. All that yummy Disney food in your immediate future! It's a lot to look forward to. You might be surprised at how fast you fill up now that you've changed your habits, though. Enjoy every bit of it-- and maybe share with us in a trip report after the fact. I love to live vicariously. :)

Congrats to you and good luck in the Half Marathon!

I did my first half marathon a little over a month ago, and let me warn you it is addicting! Yet somehow I still hate running...

Enjoy your well deserved meals at WDW, I know I will a couple weeks after you!:number1:

It's funny. With all the food we ate, we expected to gain at least 10 pounds. I only gained 3 pounds this past trip. I guess all that walking does balance things out!
