Courage, the National Thanksgiving Day Turkey that was pardoned by President Barack Obama on Nov. 25 in a White House ceremony, served as Honorary Grand Marshal in the Thanksgiving Day parade joined by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and local volunteers at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., on Thursday. Following the parade, Courage and his alternate, Carolina, found a cozy new home at Santa’s Reindeer Ranch in the Frontierland section of Disneyland, where park guests can visit them throughout the holiday season.

I wonder why they always pardon an unhealthy farm turkey and not a much healthier, natural looking turkey.

Courage was bred to have a larger than normal breast and to grow (and die) faster than a "natural" turkey.
