We are headed to BLT on Monday. If anyone has been there recently, are DVC members still the only ones allowed at Top of the World Lounge or have they changed the policy? Also, any reviews of BLT would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes, the lounge is a perk for DVC members only and there are restrictions for them as well (must be booked in BLT through member services using points or cash).

There are some reviews on the DVC forum that you may want to read through.

Just to clarify... I believe the rule is still DVC Members STAYING at BLT on points... not any dvc member staying on points at another resort.

Sorry for being a little dense here, but:

If my home resort is AKL, but we're staying at BLT this February on those points, we won't be able to visit the lounge?

Thanks in advance; I'll be so bummed out, but it's better to know in advance!

If you are staying at Bay Lake Towers, you can visit the longe while you are a guest at that resort.

If my home resort is AKL, but we're staying at BLT this February on those points, we won't be able to visit the lounge?It's a little confusing. To use the lounge, you have to be both a DVC member (regardless of "home" resort) and staying at BLT on points or cash (booked through member services).

I believe the policy is outlined on the DVC members website if you want to doublecheck it.

Some non-DVC friends of ours are staying at BLT at the same time we're in WDW, but staying at GF. We were planning to have them take us up to the Lounge to hang out for a while...as non-DVC folks, though, will they have access???

As I understand it, the policy at the resort is they check in with the CM, who then escorts them up in the elevator to the lounge. The CM's check the BLT room keys, which would need to be marked as DVC members for lounge access.

I appreciate you clearing that up! Can't wait to try and snag the fireworks from there in February!
