I saw this post on another site and thought it was a great idea! Some people, including me, think that the vehicle you drive says a lot about your personality. It will also force me to learn how to post a picture:thumbsup:

So go ahead, show us what you drive...

My beloved's car is a 2006 Chrysler 300C - Hemi-powered, of course. She doesn't drive it too much. I need a big car for my business. Carrying around all that stuff in an old '94 Honda Civic Coupe was frustrating and impossible. I hated that car!

(For those counting the waving flags, the 300C and its sister cars, the Charger and Magnum are made right here in Ontario, not far from where we live)

My car is a 2004 Chrysler Sebring. I never see it. Our eldest daughter drives it to work. It's only fair: she pays for half of it.

I know it's kind of a psychotic set up but it works for us. I can't wait to see what we have to buy for our youngest when she starts to drive.

DW - 2007 Chrysler Aspen with the Hemi
Me - 2007 F350 Crew cab diesel dually w/8' bed - about 25' long and 12 MPG!
Me on nice days - 67 Camaro with a 540 (about 9.0L) that makes a little over 700hp. Baby it and get about 6 MPG, put it to the floor and get about 2 GPM (gallons per mile):D:thumbsup:

Me - 2005 VW Jetta TDI sedan (red) - I love this car - it averages 42 mpg. On my Sept 2005 WDW trip, it averaged 52 mpg. The only drawback is that it's a bit cramped now that we have DS.

Well my "real" car is a 2008 Chevy Tahoe. But that's a lease that I bought when I worked 9 miles from home. Now that I work 48 miles from home, it's not very practical to drive every day so I keep that for running around on weekends and such. My daily driver is a 2002 Lexus ES300.

DW's car is a 2008 Acura TL.

Both the Acura and the Tahoe are leases, though, and are going back next year (2010). At that point, we're probably going to dump the Lexus, too, and buy two certified pre-owned cars ... probably a 3 series BMW for me and maybe a Volvo XC90 for DW.

I drive a British Racing Green 2004 Jaguar X-Type. I've had it for 5 years, and I still can't believe I drive a Jag! It's a long story how we ended up with it, but I still love it!

DH drives a 1999 Chevy Tahoe with over 150K miles on it. He drove 80+ miles/day for 6 years until we moved, now only about 6 miles/day. I guess we'll keep it until the doors fall off!

I currently drive a 2007 Jeep Compass (my first "new" car). I bought it with 15,000 miles on it at Carmax and it was initially used as a rental. I drive a 2007 Jeep Commander. When we lived in CO they were all over the road. Not so much in Chicago. I can parallel park it in the city with no problems. I like it, but I think I am ready to go smaller.

When we moved we only had one car. DH needed a car to get to work as the trains and buses don't go out to his office in the burbs. He picked up an 88 Chevy S10 that has less than 50k on it. It was just moved up to IL this past summer so it will be the first winter for a 20 year old truck!

It's all in where you have your passion and priorities. I wouldn't spend extra money or effort on a muscle car, but I buy way too many purses! The trips to Disney World also take precedence. But some people really love cars and that's great too!

And if you think a muscle car is a money pit, trying owning one that floats!

They are a headache and up here in the Northeast it often feels like a ridiculous waste of money with such limited time to use it.

But I will say that when we're out on it it seems worth every penny to me!

I sure do. :D

My toy is a 2006 Mustang GT. She's custom in and out. A Roush TVS blower, tuned to 16 psi, results in about 620 ponies at the crank. (525 at the tires) A short throw shifter, racing clutch and lowering springs are also in her. Even with all that power, she cruises on the highway like a kitten and gets 23 mpg. Twitch my right foot however, and 0-60 comes in about 4 seconds. :thedolls:

As soon as I replace the guts with forged components, the psi will be tweaked and she'll have 880 at the crank, roughly 750 to the tires.

Then I'll get the roll cage installed, and drop 3.83 gears in her. Eventually, the goal is 1,000 horses at the crank...and still street legal.

I've customized the white body with fire engine red painted and clearcoated lemans stripes, custom badging, and little tweaks all around. The engine compartment is immaculate, and I've just started detailing that even more. The interior is red leather with carbon fiber accents.

Won six trophies this year at various shows. (proud papa). :D

Daily driver is a fully loaded silver Chevy HHR. I needed something with great gas mileage that can also haul my amplifiers and guitars. The HHR fits that to a "T".

We are "boatless" for the first time in 20 years. It is really bittersweet. I miss her. There is nothing like boating. We started with a ski boat and slowly upgraded to a 34 foot cruiser. Then, we realized we just weren't using it enough. So, now we have an RV. We'll see how long that lasts.

And, my son has the muscle car. The 65 Rivie. I don't know why my father decided to give a 10 year old a car. Oh well. At least it's huge for that first minor wreck that all teenagers have! ;)

I traded my first car last year (a 2005 Chevy Cobalt) for the 2009 Exquinox! It was quite an upgrade for me as the Cobalt, or "Colby" as I named her, was a base model with nothing on it and the E-nox has everything! I love it and will drive it until it runs into the ground.

2.2??? How on earth did you get that time (1.8 quicker than me) with only 80 more horses? What kind of gearing do you have? And that's a heavy car too unless you've done some weight reduction!

It's all about weight transfer, good tires, and a well prepped track, in that order. Gears are 4:10, I cross the line at 7k rpm and 130 mph. Its also about torque. I made 701hp at the crank, but also 680 ft/# of torque. There's no replacement for displacement:D:D:D

Okay I figured you had some tall gears. I'm sure you're also either running slicks or drag radials too. Impressive!

My time was run on street tires and the stock 3.31's. I wonder what it'll be when I get some taller gearing and put some drag tires on.

Gotta love torque!

'07 Hyundai Sonata - I downsized a couple of years ago after driving SUV's for years. It's not my dream car but it's pratical.
I'd love the new Camaro...a girl can dream!

As for me, I drive a 2004 White Chrysler Pacifica and absolutely hate it! I can't wait for the next one! DH drives a 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada and absolutely loves it. It's his baby, he'll drive it until either it gives out, or Courtney can get him to pass it on to her. She loves it almost as much!

I have one of those floating money pits too. However, it's back at the dealer --- they're selling it for us. I hope it sells as DH already traded in his 2007 2500 chevy truck for a Toyota Camry!!

You should rent a PT Cruiser. You'll change that designation!

My first car was a 1970 Barracuda. Boy do I wish I still had that! Saw one sell at Barrett/Jackson for 2 million last year.

Currently we have a 2006 Mini, a brand new Soul and a 2003 Envoy. I think I am getting old...

I used to have a '73 'Cuda 340. LOVED that car. It now sits on my DW's finger as a 10 year anniversary ring. :D

2005 Chrysler Crossfire

I love it! It is a bit of a diva with its $110 oil changes and "dealer only" indicators which can only be turned off by a licenced Mercedes or Crossfire Trained dealer service station, but it's a blast to drive and gets a lot of looks. :number1:

oh yeah, forgot the mrs' car..

All those Fords and not ONE Mustang??? :D

Oh, there will be a mustang there one day. After we (hopefully) build the house we want in a couple years, that is his "dream" car he wants to get. I'd rather branch off to Chevy and get a Camaro, but thats just me.:D

I drive a black and gold 2004 Jeep Wrangler with a lift and some 33" tires. I love my vehicle!!! Luckily I only have 1 ds6 who is easy to get in and out. Can't wait to get on those trails again this Spring!!!! One of the few vehicles where you can 4 wheel drive in the winter and a convertible in the summer.

Dh drives a silver 2005 Jeep Liberty. Nice vehicles- but no fun.

I have a 2001 Ford Ranger 4x4 with almost 150,000 miles. Sometimes I get to drive my wifes new 2010 Chevy Cobalt, she loves the remote start that came with it since right now here in MN it is 3 degress above zero.

The wife drives a 2004 Cadillac SRX - DISNY 1 :mickey:

I drive a 2006 Hummer H3 - DISNY 2 :mickey:

Daughter drives a 2009 Subaru Impreza - FAIREST 1 :mickey:

Son drives a 2008 Hyundai Elantra - no Disney plate :(

Welp, Son now drives a 2010 Subaru Impreza. The Hyundai, while a nice litte car, was awful in the snow. So, now we are a 100% All Wheel Drive family. The Cadillac and the 09 Subaru have remote start which is sooooo nice now that it is 10 degrees out.

It's priceless. I thought I wouldn't have to worry about my 20 year old son borrowing the van while he was home on Christmas break but he said he likes driving it. He likes people checking him out?
