Has anyone eaten at V & A's lately?
Could you give us a review?
I'm thinking about surprising my DH with it for our anniversary...or we could eat at 3 signature restuarants instead for the same price...
Would love some feedback!

It's been about 5 years since we had this very wonderful dining experience but I'd certainly return without hesitation!

We took a two week trip to Disney World and actually stayed at the Grand Floridian. We walked from our room over to the main building. Because we were early, we stopped for a drink in Mizner's. After checking in (which is in the same area as Citrico's check in desk), we were escorted into Victoria & Albert's and shown our table.

Dinner occurs at a very relaxed pace. There are quite long intervals between each course. The whole dining experience will be outlined for you. Generally, you have two or three options for each course. We also chose the wine pairings which were excellent. While, at the beginning of the meal, you think you're going to be a little cheated when you begin to think the portions are very small! I can assure you, by the end of your meal, you'll be wondering how you can possibly stuff in one more bite!

During the meal, a harp player provided background music. The whole experience is quite muted - no loud noises. The food is excellent and you feel totally pampered!

It's a very special experience!

Faline gives you a great feel for the atmosphere.

As for the food, the menu is constantly changing, but you're sure to find things you will like.

Desserts do change, but the souffles seem to be a regular fixture on the menu.
And do not pass on the coffee - it's quite a presentation! ;)

We dined at V&A's last December, it is probably one of the best meals and experiences I have ever had. If you have the opportunity to go, I would not pass it up.

The service, atmosphere, and food were all definitely worth it.

And, as the previous poster mentioned, do not pass on the coffee!

Not on the dining plan. If it were, it would certainly require more than 2 credits. This establishment is quite pricey.

If you can swing it, I highly recommend it. If you want a real treat, try to get the chef's table - it's divine! We've been almost every year and are going to really miss not going this year... :(

We went last year and it was WONDERFUL. The food was fantastic, as was the service, so the price is justified in my opinion.

If you are planning this to be a surprise, better sneakily pack his best suit and tie! You must dress for the event.

Oh, yeah, I don't drink coffee, but definitely order the coffee! I have never seem anything like it.

Expect to pay $400 or more, especially if you decide on the Wine Pairing. I highly recommend this, too. You get to taste about eight different wines that are expertly chosen to augment the flavours of the dishes you order.

I ate at this restaurant in 2002 with my hubby for our first year anniversary. We still talk about this restaurant. Its well worth it. We payed over $300 for the meal and my hubby did the wine pairing with the meal.
The food was fantastic. I got a rose when I left. You get personal menus with what you are celebrating on it and we also got a big thing of chocolate that said happy anniversary ;)
I doubt we'll ever do it again only because of the price but its definitely something we will never forget. :)

I have a stupid question. Is it intimate? A long time ago, well almost 20 yrs when DH and I went to WDW for our honeymoon:cloud9: we ate at Arthur's 27 (it's no longer there, it was in one of the hotels in the DTD area, not a Disney hotel) and it was fabulous, I felt like royalty. I wonder if it is similar to that? Would you say a meal for 2 would run $300-$400? I think we would include the wine pairings.

yes its very intimate. Only a couple of tables in the whole restaurant. No children. Its one of the most romantic restaurants I've ever been to. :) Yes the price you listed sounds about right.

If you could ever swing it - I highly highly recommend the Chef's Table. It was the best meal experience of my life. But yeah, it was over $400 without any alcohol. Absolutely worth every penny.

Arthur's is still there.....at the Wyndham Palace on hotel plaza boulevard....overlooking the marketplace....

I would say V and A's is better....

don't recommend the Chef's Table though....it's kinda cool....but a little too much
