Is there any special place you can renew your vowels...without it costing an arm and a leg?

If you mean your wedding vows, Disney does offer such a package but I've heard it's very pricey!

I still like A, E, I, O, and U.
And sometimes Y.

You can set up your own vow renewal without going through Disney. That can be much less expensive. But of course, you're missing out on location possibilities and a lot of the details that make Disney events extra special. I know some of our regular posters have done it, and I hope they see your thread, pop in, and share. Best wishes!

You said renewing your vowels. I think we all assumed you meant vows, but some of us are jokers. Vowels are letters a, e, i, o, u (and sometimes Y). Vows are solemn promises, like you would exchange at a wedding. I just thought you were typing quickly. I do it all the time. :)

I think at Disney, you can get your vowels renewed by a consonant.

I think we're all used to it because people are consonantly making that mistake. ;)

Okay - everyone's had fun - but let's get back on topic! I'm sure we've all had a slip of the fingers while we've typed something or spell-check has entirely changed the meaning of what we typed (It's always fun when the software thinks it knows more than we do)!

If folks have any suggestions for the original poster, please add them. Otherwise, please refrain from posting.

The brain is indeed a strange thing...for some reason I have started to type "wants" as "once."

Now that's a bizarre misfire - much more so than "vowels" vs. "vows." The result of getting old, I guess.

Sorry, so off-topic but I just had to share.

1) Alas, big bucks or nothing.
2) The Renewal Ceremony starts at about $4,000.

3) They used to have a cutesy ceremony at Garden Grille at The Land.
4) It was in jest, but really neat.
. . . Mickey would attend
. . . the waiter would say funny words for you to repeat
. . . it was cute
5) But, it fell by the wayside due to Political Correctness.
6) What a shame!

I wish they would have something simple and not so much $$$. If you are staying on grounds and for a certain number of days they should have something... Not everyone wants to or can spend a min. $4000 on a vow renewal. We considered doing a vow renewal on the Disney Cruise because it is a little bit cheaper but decided against it. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear it. We will be celebrating 20 yrs in 2010:party: I think it would be really cool to have some sort of commemorative celebration at WDW especially since it is the place we went on our honeymoon:cloud9:

1) As long as people continue to buy the package, it will stay expensive.
2) Unfortunately, it is just the way it is.

fanofdisney, maybe you don't need an official (with officiator) vow renewal. Maybe a certain special something that you do only on special anniversaries.

Perhaps splurging - but still way way cheaper than a vow renewal - for a fireworks cruise might be the answer. You could always consider the fireworks to be for you two, specially, in celebration of your 20 years together.

You can get other ideas here at Intercot at InfoCentral. For information, at Park Hours, select Celebration Vacation, almost at the end of the section.
