Question About ECV Rental

I have a question about renting a scooter.
I have never rented from anyone other than WDW for my parents to use. But this trip i think i might need one for myself, i have been having sciatica nerve pain and i dont know if i will be able to handle all of the walking. I am thinking i might need to rent a scooter.

My question is, i will only need the scooter on the days when i will be in the parks which would be-thursday, friday, sunday, monday, and thursday. Would i be able to rent for those specific days and they would pick up and drop off only on the days i needed it, or would i basically have to rent for the whole 8 days i am at the resort?

Also, does anyone know the weight limits on the ECV's WDW rents?

Your last question first: I'm 90% sure that the weight limit on the WDW's ECVs is 450 lbs.

As for your first questions, many of the rental agencies do have a minimum, so you won't be able to rent one for just one day. Maybe you could rent one from a rental agency for Thursday through Monday evening, and then rent one from the parks on your second Thursday.
