Oct. 28, 1998 – “Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party” began in the Magic Kingdom at WDW. (Dates: 28th and 30th)
Oct. 28, 1999 – “Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party” began in the Magic Kingdom at WDW. (Dates: 28,29, and 31st)
Oct. 28, 1999 – WDW’s Polynesian Resort officially changed the names of its longhouses: Tahiti was renamed Aotearoa, Fiji remained Fiji, Samoa is now called Tuvalu, Maori, is now called Rarotonga, Bali Hai was renamed Tonga, Bora Bora is now called Niue, Hawaii was renamed Samoa, Tonga is now called Hawaii, Oahu was renamed Tokelau, Pago Pago is now called Rapanui, Moorea was renamed Tahiti.
Oct. 28, 2001 – The Disneyana Fun Fair Show & Sale took place at the West Coast Anaheim Hotel.
Oct. 28, 2001 – Disney Collectibles Artist Robert Olszewski appeared at the Limited Edition in Merrick, N.Y. to meet collectors and sign his sculptures.
Oct. 28, 2001 – Disney/Pixar’s animated feature film “Monsters, Inc.” premiered at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, Ca. (It would open November 2nd in theaters.)
Oct. 28, 2004 – Pitcher Curt Schilling of the World Champion Boston Red Sox got a hero’s welcome at WDW’s Magic Kingdom.
Oct. 28, 2005 – Disney Channel aired the “Phil of the Future” episode “Team Duffy” for the first time.
Oct. 28, 2008 – The Walt Disney Picture film “Tinkerbell” was released on DVD and Blu-ray.
Oct. 28, 2008 – The “Tinker Bell” electronic game was released for Nintendo DS.
