My wife and I are taking our son on his first trip Dec 3-7. We are staying at the WL Club level. We have never booked Concierge before, but were upgraded once before so we have a good idea what to expect.

I do have a couple questions though. I have heard that there is a separate check-in for Concierge guests. What do we need to do when arriving at WL? Also, does this mean we shouldn't bother with the online check-in that is now offered? Lastly, I know the Concierge lounge has open and closing hours, but will it still be possible for us to get milk for our son at any time if need be? He is almost 2 and wants his milk constantly.

I have not stayed at WL concierge but have at Yacht Club, Poly and the second level concierge at the Grand Floridian. Each place has its own style. At all three they do have personal check in as long as you arrive within normal business hours. We once arrived after hours at the Yacht Club and had to check in at the front desk.

Each hotel was a little different about food, all three hotels had refridge in the room so we would get a few extra items if needed an store them for our child such as milk or a soda for those off hours. At the Poly it was no problem to ask for a few things to take to the room but at the GF they guarded the soda like it was a national secret. I finally had to go and talk with the person at the main desk and she reluctantly gave me a couple extra to take back to the room.

As for the Poly this was by far the best experience, staff was always helpful, lounge was always open (probably because of design) and the staff usually had something out in the lounge as far as snacks for anytime you came back. Yacht club was the same but the lounge was closed during certain hours.

We've stayed at Wilderness Lodge club level for the last two years. When you arrive at Wilderness Lodge, tell the bellhops out front that you are checking in to club level. As you enter Wilderness Lodge, the main registration desk will be along the wall to your right. Turn right to face the main registration desk and look to your right. There will be a much smaller desk there with a small waiting area behind it. You will go to this desk and let the folks there know you are checking in club level. They will arrange for someone to escort you up to the club level. As you exit the elevator, you'll be turned over to one of the two concierge folks on duty who will check you in. If your room is not ready, they'll ask for your cell phone number or another way to contact you and will call you when the room is available to you.

The Old Faithful Club is open for Continental Breakfast from 7 - 10:30 a.m. (though coffee is available beginning at 6:30 a.m.). It reopens at 11:30 through 4:00 p.m. for refreshments. 5:00 - 7:00 is wine and cheese selections and 8:00 -10:00 is cordials and desserts.

You can always pour some extra milk into cups and store it in the refrigerator of your room for those in-between times or you could go downstairs to the store and purchase a carton of milk.

1) Usually, you get a separate check-in.
. . . a CM from the Club Floor will come down
. . . they usually meet you near the lobby Concierge desk
. . . you are then taken to 7th floor for check-in
2) If you don't see the CM, the Bell Services dispatcher can summon one.
. . . go to the right near the waiting area
. . . he/she is at a small dispatcher desk
3) If the CM's are busy on the Club Floor, you check-in as everyone else.
4) Your room key then plugs into the elevator for 7th floor access.

NOTE: The vast majority of the time, the CM from the 7th floor will come down to meet you and then check you in at the podium on the 7th floor. However, do not get disappointed if you must check-in at the regular lobby counter.

Thanks for the input everyone. I take it from your comments then that online checkin isn't going to be necessary?

We didn't bother with on-line check-in for our last trip.
