They're going along as our “roaming gnomes” complete with matching MNSSHP outfits!

Background: Jayne and I have gone through some hard times since our last Disney trip. We lost my daughter’s fiancé last year in a sudden accident. My husband was laid off work in March and Jayne was laid off in April. Really a tough year. So when we began to plan on going to our niece’s wedding (she lives in south Georgia-we live in the Atlanta area), we began scheming on a quick trip to WDW. After all, we’ll only be a short 3 1/2 hour driving time from that wonderful, purple greeting sign. While Jayne and I have been to Disney together several times with our families, it has never been just the two of us. Should be a lot of fun! And since money is tight(we’ve been squirreling away money for months!) we tried to get the most bang for our buck. My husband is retired USMC so I’m eligible to stay at SOG and get our 1 day park ticket there.
Here’s the plan:
10-11: Day after wedding. Leave Valdosta, Georgia early(hopefully) and arrive at SOG around 10am. Check in and then head to the Boardwalk. Enjoy the atmosphere and grab a light lunch somewhere. We have ressie’s at Hoop Dee Doo at 7:15 that night. A first for Jayne.
10-12: Head to EPCOT for rope drop. Hit all the fav’s in Future World and then eat our way around the F & W Festival before heading to MNSSHP that night.
10-13: Check out and then breakfast at Kona. We’ll spend the next few hours in Downtown Disney before heading back to south Georgia to spend the night at our brother’s house and then driving back to Atlanta the next morning.
We’re psyching ourselves up for the sore feet and sleep deprivation. But we all know that Disney is worth every little blister!

Seems like a small price to pay for a couple of days at WDW. :walk::sleepin::cloud9:
