VB in December?

Has anyone been to VB in December? What is the weather like and how is the ocean? Is it rough or too cold to swim? Alos, do they do anything special in december for the holidays, any special activities?

We've been to Vero Beach many times, though not in December. Ocean water temp is usually in the low to mid 70's in December; the roughness is totally dependent on prevailing weather conditions. December in Florida can be very difficult to predict. We've had temps anywhere from the 50's to the 90's in the seven years we've lived here. No snow, however. :D

The resort does have a very nice pool and hot tub that are open year round.

I'm quite certain they have the usual holiday decorations, but I don't have any firsthand info on any special activities. Might be worth your while to give them a call - - 772-234-2012.
