Sept. 24, 1998 – Michael Eisner’s book “Work in Progress” was published.
Sept. 24, 1999 – Previews began for the London West End production of Disney’s musical “The Lion King” at the Lyceum Theatre.
Sept. 24, 1999 - Tapestry of Nations made its debut in World Showcase at Epcot.
Sept. 24, 1999 – The Disney Channels half-hour original series “The Jersey” debuted.
Sept. 24, 1999 – The Disney/Touchstone Picture film “Mumford” was released.
Sept. 24, 2001 - Tapestry of Dreams opened at Epcot with new intro music, new characters, float, and noisemakers added to the puppets.
Sept. 24, 2003 – The University of Maryland honored Muppet creator Jim Henson by holding a dedication ceremony. The ceremony dedicates a life-sized statue of Henson (a University of Maryland alumnus), conversing with one of his favorite creations, Kermit the Frog, in front of the Adele Stamps Student Union of the College Park campus.
Sept. 24, 2004 – Disneyland debuted “Mysteries, Myths, and Legends Tour” (an interactive tour that allows guests to be a part of a fictional storyline woven by the host.)
Sept. 24, 2004 – The Disney/Touchstone Picture film “The Last Shot” was released.
Sept. 24, 2006 – The “Disney Wonder” cruise ship made its inaugural visit to St. Kitts and Nevis. The 2,600 passenger capacity vessel docked at Port Zante at 7a.m., its fifth stop on a eleven night South Caribbean cruise.
