Less people on my ADR

I know someone else asked this question but I was not clear on the answer.

When I booked my trip we had 8 people and now we have 6. Can I just call and let Disney know that I have two less or should I just let them know when I check in for my ADR that I am a party of 6?

You should call and have them modify your reservations to a party of 6.

Just to let you know that if you do revise your ressie you will cancel the 8 and have to re-book the 6. This could cause you to lose your ressie completly. We had my nephew get sick one time just b-4 dinner & I had to stay back with him while the rest of our 8 party group went on. They had no problem with checking in at the restaurant.

I wanted to let everyone know that I called WDW to see if I could modify my dining reservations and I was able to with no problem. They changed all of my resis from 8 to 6.
