Grand Floridian Cafe

The GF Cafe is a really beautiful place to have a wonderful breakfast. The food and service are excellent (love the Citrus French Toast). They also make great cappuccino (the chocolate is my favorite).

DH and I love how charming the decor is. You just feel so relaxed eating there, and it really gets you in the mood for a great day at the parks!

Lots of great breakfast places without characters. My favorite is the Grand Floridian Cafe, but I would love to try the breakfast at Boma.

Captains Grille has a really good breakfast buffet but also you can order off the menu. We enjoyed it and it was really relaxing. It is at the Yacht Club.

I guess it depends on what you are after - quick meal or sit-down?

For us, we get great sandwiches at the quick service cafe in the Wilderness Lodge (yummy egg/bacon/cheese croissant sandwiches!). This year, though, we are going to have some cereal/milk/fruit delievered from Garden Grocer to avoid some of the fat and sodium.

I've also read that you can save a bit of money on the Tonga Toast at the Kona Cafe by going to Captain Cook's Snack company. Same stuff, smaller price (and no extra charge for service).

Does the breakfast buffet count as a table service or a counter service meal?

Boma, Kona and GF Cafe are always good choices. We had breaskfast at Captains Grille (at Yacht Club) on our last trip and were impressed. There is a nice buffet and also a multi choiced ala carte menu. The atmosphere was very nice (open, airy, clean) as were the staff. The food was excellent (the 4 of us all ordered something different) and everything was priced quite reasonably. We will eat there again. Another good option. :mickey:

I'm a big fan of Kona. Pinapple maccadamia nut pancakes and bananna stuffed french toast are soooo good.

I am not sure I would think TS, we paid out of pocket that trip. It is a very nice quiet place to start the day.

We liked BOMA. Still a buffet but without characters. The food was good and so was the selection.

My son and nephews are over the characters and think it's uncool even eat anywhere near where they appear:confused:

2nd this motion! This place is a secret gem, and easy to get into bc most people overlook it. We had breakfast here and it was our favorite breakfast of the trip. We were treated like kings and queens here and the food was marvelous!

Another vote for Boma here!

The biscuits and gravy are yummy! I like that it is a breakfast buffet with lots of options for everyone. There are interesting African items and lots of the usual American fare.

Dinner is mayhem at Boma but breakfast is lovely.

All of the above (haven't been to GFC yet but it's on our list), and two new names to throw in the ring: Olivia's and Kouzzina.
