Sept. 10, 1999 – The 17th Annual “Night of Joy” celebration began in the Magic Kingdom at WDW.
Sept. 10, 2003 – Disney’s reality TV series “The Family” began airing on ABC.
Sept. 10, 2004 – The “A Family Pin Gathering – Disney’s Pin Celebration” began at Epcot. (3 day event)
Sept. 10, 2004 – The Fiesty Fall Sculpture Event featuring Donald Duck debuts for 30days at World of Disney in Disneyland’s Downtown District.
Sept. 10, 2004 – The 3rd Annual ABC-Primetime Preview Weekend began at Disney’s California Adventure.
Sept. 10, 2005 – Mickey and Minnie Mouse, along with Goofy and Pluto visited Reliant Center in Houston, Tx., a Red Cross shelter and home to many New Orleans Hurricane Katrina survivors.
Sept. 10, 2006 – The transformation of Cinderella’s Castle from the “Happiest Celebration on Earth” into the “Year of a Million Dreams” began.
Sept. 10, 2007 – WDW honored the crew of the NASA Space Shuttle Endeavour mission and the achievement of teacher-turned-astronaut Barbara Morgan. This is the first official appearance of the STS-118 crew since returning to Earth on Aug. 21st. Epcot and the Magic Kingdom held ceremonies which allowed school children to interact with the Endeavour astronauts.
Sept. 10, 2007 – Disney Legend Ralph Kent passed away in Orlando, Fl. Retired since 2004, Kent was a merchandise artist, marketer, and Director of Walt Disney Imagineering East overseeing Florida staff support for EPCOT Center and Tokyo Disneyland.
Sept. 10, 2007 – The “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique” opened a second location inside Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom at WDW.
