Coral reef or 1900 PF

Hello, we are going to Disney for the first time mid Oct. we want to make this a trip of a life time for our DD's who are 8 and 6. We have booked CRT and CM's as well as MMNSSHP. Can someone tell me what would be a better choice CR or 1900 PF. Thank you

It depends if you want a character dining or not. 1900 is good, haven't tried Coral Reef, but will on our next visit.:)

I would go with 1900 Park Fare. Great character interaction. Coral Reef was not for us- very long meal (3 hours, lots of service problems), beyond the point of interest for my kids, and just bad for us in general.

Wow, three hours. That's an awful long time. We are usually in and out of every table service restaurant 45 min- 1 hour tops.

We did both Corral Reef and 1900 Park Fare on our trip last month. I personally preferred 1900 Park Fare.

Hi- I have never been to Coral Reef. We went to 1900 PF Spring of 2007. We are definitely going back to 1900 PF on our visit this September. My girls will be 6 & 9 this year and they really wanted to go back again this year. Cinderella & the Prince are very sweet. The Sept Mother & Sisters also stay in character and are very funny. Lots of time to take pictures and characters usually are able to stop at your table 2 times during your meal as well as Cinderella & the Prince dance together. All of us really liked the food. It is very good for buffet, lots of variety that is different from Crystal Palace or Chef Mickeys. Don't know if this helped your or not. -Tippy

We've never eaten at 1900 but have eaten at Coral Reef. I personally loved Coral Reef...we had good service and the food was very good. Also when you go you can request a table that is right next to the aquarium which is really amazing.

But now considering your kids ages would they be entertained by a large fish tank or would the prefer the characters? If the later is your answer than definitely go to 1900.

We love the Coral Reff, it has always been one of DS's favorites.. he's 12 now but we started going when he was 4. He loved the aquarium.:number1:

Apples and oranges. We enjoy them both for different reasons. Coral Reef is my favorite restaurant at WDW at the moment. The food and service over the last few years has been fabulous! Also, there is something I find very appealing and relaxing about watching the fish swimming about in the huge aquarium while we dine. Very cool! On the other hand, we also love 1900 PF. We have found the food to be anywhere from average to extremely good, but the characters are always fantastic! The stepsisters and stepmother are a hoot! They are worth the price of dinner! :thumbsup: You can't go wrong with either choice! IMHO

We've been to both 1900 PF and Coral Reef, and although we enjoyed them both, I would go back to 1900 PF before going back to Coral Reef.

The buffet was really, really good at 1900 PF, the character interaction was just awesome. Coral Reef was good, but the character interaction puts 1900 PF over the top.

I think 1900 PF would be the better choice for 2 little girls. I enjoyed Coral Reef but it was more of an adult vibe to the restaurant.

We have been to 1900 but not Coral R. We are in the dark about Coral R but would try it over 1900 PK. We may not have hit 1900 on a good night but the food was not great and the characters were ok. If you are looking for another Princess meal we love the Princess Story Book Breakfast in Epcot and have heard the lunch there is good (but check the menu first).:princess:

Like everyone has said...It depends, if it is character interaction, 1900 PF is the one. Food, then I'd pick CR. The fish tanks are fun but try to pick an odd time so they are not so full and it flows better. If you pick 1900 PF also pick an odd time so they can have more interaction, although mayhem is sure to follow character interaction and a bunch of princesses.
