abbreviations???

I am new on this site and I notice a lot of people are using abbreviations. I thought I saw a glossary of terms on this site but I can't seem to find it now. Or is it the abbreviations that everyone use in "text messaging" (which I do not know...I guess I am behind time)...Is there one or am I getting confuse with another site?

If you click on the Info Central tab, you will find an abbreviation list.
