:mickey:Arriving Sept 17th, staying at CBR, but not going into the parks. Leaving for cruise on Sept 20th for 4 night cruise. My question is this: we want to do things this trip that we have not done before....I have a good idea of things to do OUTSIDE the parks, but wanted input from others to make sure we don't miss something good. Ages 48, 30, and 8 (boy). We have done the mini golf and will not be doing the water parks. What are your favorite things "outside the park".

Check out Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex. There is always something going on there. The fee is usually nominal, or you can have lunch and check out the gift shop.

What about horseback riding?

You can rent bicycles at WL and the campground to ride around. We did it one year, and we had the best time. I loved seeing all the "disney decorations" people had at the campsites.

I can waste at least 2 days just resort hopping and looking around.

Downtown Disney is always a good time.

The fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian.

Dinner Shows--we love HDR
Electric Water Pagent
they have surrey bike rides at a lot of resorts, and the Boardwalk.
There are tours at Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge I believe.

:cloud9: Oh, and since we will be there the same weekend....I happen to know Bob will be preforming at the PO. We love BOB!!! I'm so excited!!

This trip I just want to stay between the resort and DTD, but usually I like to make resies at different resorts so we are busy. You are never to old for a character meal ;)

You can get reservations for your son to do the Pirate Adventure cruise. My kids did it from CBR in June and loved it. Its around $30 and is two hours long.
