We have the DDP so will someone please tell me if we will have to pay the 10% gratuity if we eat in the Pepper Market.

Thanks for your help.

10.5 days and counting........

The gratuity is included with the DDP. Some of the servers will tell you that the 10% is not just for them and its not, the 10% is split among all the CM's that work in the Pepper Market . So they say you can leave more if you want and that is totally your discretion.

Buzz is correct but the tip is included only at the Pepper Market and not other restuarants.Just a reminder to tip your servers. They count on it.

So is this counter service or TS? Worth a trip over? Want the biggest bang for our CS meals like Sunshine Seasons and Wolfgang Puck EX.

It's considered a counter service. You will probably get a very expensive QS meal here but imo it's not worth the time to go there (I didn't enjoy my meal at all).

But we are on the dining plan and just wanted my husband to get full and it looked as though you could there. Wondered about the fajitas etc. But maybe not going now. Thanks

Most portions are large but there have been many menu changes since last october. I read recently that the fajitas were no longer on the menu but that is not confirmed. Sometimes they don't offer items at lunch and then they do for dinner.

Ok but what in the WDW do you consider good food??? I have not found much that is considered good for the price we pay. BUT we have to eat so please compare it for us people who have never gone. It does have variety and that is what I was looking at. Burgers, chicken gets old for 10 days we are there...

what? i have only eaten at one place we truly didnt like counter service, backlot express. one table service, crystal palace. the rest has all been good experiences for us. so yes, please compare it to something more popular cause we have plans to eat here, too.

The PM is a great value if you are on the DDP. It is expensive if you are not. I've always had good luck with my meals there. Very good food and service!

I can only go by the only meal I had there which was a hamburger and french fries. I can say without doubt, every other place I ever had a burger in WDW tasted better then the one I had at the Pepper Market (I couldn't even eat half of it).

It could be an isolated incident or not, I doubt it's the worst food on property but imo it's not worth making a special trip to the resort just to eat there.

My absolute favorite CS place is Earl of Sandwich - they have a large variety of specialty sandwiches and they will make sandwiches to order. They have side dishes like potato salad and desserts which are also good. I usually just get a sandwich.

Flame Tree BBQ in the AK has good stuff in large portions!

That CS place in the Land Pavillion has a huge assortment food that doesn't include the typical burger. Same with Columbia Harbor House in the MK.

We ate the steak dinner at the PM when we were on the QSDP and it was quite a bang for the buck.I think the total came to something like 60.00 for 2 and the food was very good and the dessert was also excellent. We really like the Pepper Market.
