We try someplace new each trip. We tried Sanaa a few weeks ago and loved it. We are coming at Thanksgiving time. Jiko comes highly recommended, but wondering if it is too much the same experience. We are looking for a "different" option.

Disney describes Jiko (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/animal-kingdom-villas-jambo/dining/jiko-the-cooking-place/) as serving "the bold flavors of traditional African, Indian and Mediterranean cuisine" while they describe Sanaa (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/animal-kingdom-villas-kidani/dining/sanaa/) as featuring "African cuisine with Indian flavors." They've posted their most current menus on the pages on the Disney site (follow the links above).

BTW, what did you think of Sanaa?

I haven't tried Sanaa yet- but I can tell you Jiko is fabulous and truly a place not to be missed. We discovered it several years ago and love it. Very flavoful is the best way I could describe it. We like:

Taste of Africa Appetizer (various breads/spreads)
Filet with red wine sauce and mac n cheese
the pistachioo creme brulee with chocolate bottom

It's really good. I believe it is pricier than Sanaa but well worth it. And if you enjoy wine, they have a great selection of South African wines.

I've been to Jiko, haven't been to Sanaa. Jiko is a really enjoyable dining experience, good food, unique flavors(though maybe similar flavors to Sanaa), fantastic service, lovely atmosphere. I'm not sure how they compare, but I don't think you'll be disappointed in Jiko if you choose it.

LOVED it Ellen!! It is a new favorite for us. Loved, loved, loved it. We sampled a great deal of the menu between the five of us and loved every bite. Plus the atmosphere and service were top notch, yet relaxed. The bread sampling with dips for a starter was a favorite. Then we mixed and matched our entrees. One was better than the next.
