Is Mt Everest closed for the Yeti to be repaired?

i am leaving on sat as well... keeping my fingers crossed:pixie:and pixie dust never hurts...lol. and if i say so myself i see on the other boards there are a ton of us going down this weekend starting the 21st or the 22nd....hmmm if anyone wants to split a fireworks cruise let me know, we have 5. 2 adults 3 kids 14, 11 and 10? send me a message, we are trying to save some money but would love to do the boat cruise if anyone is up to split the fare. hit me back, kyle

As reported in the Yeti thread in the News forum, Expedition: Everest will be closed for 3 days in October to work on the Yeti's movements. It remains operational right now.

I hope they fix it! I hear the experience just isn't the same as it was when EE first opened. We were lucky enough to ride in November 2007... absolutely awesome and now it's one of our favorite rides.

We're just disappointed AK won't have any late hours when we're there this year (week before Thanksgiving), but I know we sacrifice longer park hours when we go during the "off-peak" times of year. One of our favorite experiences last trip was riding EE again and again one night during evening EMH at AK! Hardly a wait ... we rode 6 times in a row. We also love the ambience of that area of AK when it's dark.

I have heard the closing will be in the beginning of October the first or 2nd week although this was before they extended free dining so who knows.

My husband and I go from 10/7-10/14. I sure hope it's not closed when we're there. That would be terrible!
