Good beach with that gorgeous aqua color?

We are leaving in two days for Florida and one day we wanted to surprise our son with a day to the beach. He wants so bad to see the water that looks the most like the Bahamas..(because of Pirates of the C)....are the beaches on the gulf better or the East beaches? THanks for info. cherry

We wil be leaving for Disney in two days!!!! We will be there for 10 days. We ALWAYS take one day and rent a car to go to Clearwater Beach!! We just love it there!! The water is BEAUTIFUL!!! :cloud9:

Well, they are two different types of water. If you are looking for clear, smooth, warm, blue sparkling water, you should go to the Gulf side. The East Coast is the Atlantic Ocean. You will find waves, rougher water, and rougher sand.

I don't know that you will see that beautiful aqua color on either coast, but your best bet is on the gulf. With the wave washing ashore, the Atlantic on the east coast is at most dark blue and sometimes brown.
