View Full Version : Height restrictions as the water parks

A quick question. When we go back in 2011 my son will be five. He, at this time, is a pretty good swimmer. He swims without assistance and loves to go underwater and swim until he can't hold his breath any longer.

My question is this, many of the slides at both parks have height restrictions. I have never been to either park. With the exception of the obvious ones like Summit Plummet, what are the reasons for the height restrictions?

I know that if my son keeps progressing with his swimming skills by age five he will be swimming as well as I do (well, maybe not that good).

Are the restrictions on some of those slides due to the depth of the splash pool or is it something more that would keep a five year old off of it?

sometimes they are based on the twists and turns and the height of the walls -

or maybe the depth of the water at the end?
