Disney Dollars

My daughters have some Disney Dollars,Can they be used in the parks/DTD?Are they equal in value to a U.S. Dollar?

My understanding is disney dollars can be used anywhere on Disney property. They are equal to the U.S. dollar.

Yes, they are equal to a dollar. I was down there with my family in Jan and I gave some to my 9 yr old great-niece. Man did they burn a hole in her pocket, she spent them as fast as possible and here I was hoping she would save (some at least) them since they looked really cool. They'll have a blast with them.

Thanks for the info.My youngest (8) who is a serious Disney princess fan and a shopaholic probably won't keep hers past the second shop we're in.
