Just wondering what potential savings, if any, could be had by renting points. We are considering booking for our family of 4, FEB 6 - 13, and BC is $4200.

Can anyone ballpark the range for renting points for that week at BCV?

Depends on what you want. At $11 a point:

Studio: $1353
One Bedroom: $2794
Two Bedroom: $3421

If you want to rent points you will need to do a google search for DVC rental as we do not rent points on Intercot.

We've rented points in the past(before we bought in), and it did provide a significant savings, as well as giving us a little more room if we wanted a 1BR. Just be sure to get references and have a contract -anyone who has rented before should have a contract prepared.

do a search for dvc point calculator.. put in your dates and it will tell you how many points you need. Points usually rent from $10-12 per point... so just do the math. We stayed last year at WL for 6 nights studio for only $830.. this year we are staying 4 nights BLT at less than $200 a night! The room runs for over $500 thru disney direct.

Thanks for the pointers, we have always booked direct, and will consider renting for sure! There was a good summary in another thread for all the points to consider before renting - we have a lot to think about!
