View Full Version : YES -- We're Going "HOME" -- CSR here we come

After having cancelled our ten day trip to the CSR in September due to the economy, we are going for three nights/four days. DH and I were offered a two-bedroom condo in Marco Island in September (a lawyer I work with and have known for years offered it to us for free); we have enough miles to get free airline tickets. Therefore, all we were paying for was the rental car and food (I plan to cook most of our meals while at Marco Island). I was thinking the other night and said to DH that we still had the deposit down at Disney to go towards next year's trip (well, actually they had it booked for December and then we would have changed it to 2010). I said let's see what kind of deal we can get and maybe stop on the way to Marco Island or the way home. Well, we were able to get a great price and we'll be arriving at CSR on Saturday, September 19 and departing on Tuesday, September 22 (we'll leave Disney around 4 or 5 and drive to Marco Island which is about four hours away). I'm so excited...I can't wait to be "home" and see the new rooms.

Thanks everyone. Only 44 more days. And we got some great ADR's. Breakfast at the Crystal Palace, lunch at LeCellier, late lunch/early dinner at Sci Fi and dinner at The Plaza.

Update: Because we could not get a Saturday morning direct flight (the only flight left that was available for free miles made two stops...no way, no how...I hate flying to begin with and I'm not going up three different times going to one place), we had to book Friday night so we get a full day at Disney on Saturday (and I got CSR for $96 for Friday night). I was also able to change Crystal Palace from an original 1:30 lunch to a 10:00 breakfast and on Sunday was able to get an 8:05 a.m. breakfast there on Saturday. :cloud9:

Good for you KatMark.It really stinks when you have to cancel a trip.We're only going for 4 nights in September instead of a full week so that we can save a few bucks.I'm really happy for you guys.
