Icy Strait Point

I didn't plan anything for this day. Today was DH's day (yes, I planned something for everyone), and his big thing is that he hates plans. Therefore, today was a free day. He decided that he wanted to go into Icy Strait Point. This is a very small port, so we had to get tendered to the dock. It was pretty cool being able to get inside one of the life boats. They are a lot bigger than they seem.

We wandered around for a little while - checked out the greenery, picked up seashells on the beach and watched the people on the Zipline. DD wanted to Zipline, but there weren't any openings. After a couple of hours, we headed back to the ship.

On the tender during the trip back, a couple who spoke Spanish gestured at DS to take their picture together. DS has taken a couple of semesters of Spanish in high school, so they were able to carry on a small conversation with them. He was pretty excited about that.

Back on the ship, I took a nap. I had woken up at 0230 in the morning, and it caught up with me when I wasn't moving around. Tom woke me up in time for dinner. It was lobster night that night. Me, Mom and DD don't eat seafood, but the guys ate more than our share. Our server was bringing them 2 lobsters a piece at a time.

After dinner, DH & I checked out the casino a little bit. Then we went back to our room, propped the door open and listened to the music from the Centrum. It was very relaxing to sit on the balcony, listen to the music and hear the water as the ship moved.
