After spa time for the mommies, I thought it would be a good idea to try out the Afternoon Tea. We have an AR for 2:00 and was wondering how long it normally takes from start to finish. I know we will take our time but need to be back to the hotel (WL) by 3:30 so the daddies can head to their racecar experience. Does anyone see this being a problem? Thanks!

We loved the tea!!!! I hate to think you'd feel rushed, because this is a great experience to savor. You could pull it off if you are seated in a timely manner and are ready to order quickly. Service is efficient, they do not overbook, and this truly is a lovely time. You'd have an hour, doable I suppose, but I think you might feel rushed. Maybe plan on a taxi afterwards, because if you are relying on disney transport, 1/2 an hour travel time may not cut it.
We were surprised at the amount of food we got. We thought this would be a light snack, and we had the three course tea and we were stuffed. We had no room for dinner at our ADR that evening!

1) The tea takes about 1½ hours, or so.
2) Plus, you will probably be seated at 2:00pm, or slightly later.
3) They only escort one table at a time from the podium.
4) So, if there are 5-5 ressies, it takes 10-15 minutes to seat people.
5) Then, you have to order, etc.
6) As mentioned above, take a taxi from Tea to the raceway.

NOTE: Although the raceway is literally across the street from GF, you can't walk to the entrance. A taxi would be super fast. Also, they will put a driving suit over their clothes, so they do not have to change from their Tea outfits.

Pokeyw, if I read your post correctly, you're tag-teaming with the dads, so you need to get back to WL. Though you could do the boat from GF to the MK, and then over to WL, I wouldn't chance it. Enjoy the tea for as long as you can, but head out at 2:00 and grab a taxi in front of the GF. Who would want to stress out after the bliss of the spa and then tea? :cloud9: You will be cutting the tea experience short, but better some tea than none! ;)
