Combining DL/Santa Barbara

I was thinking next year of taking vaca to DL and SB, I have been to LA, but that's it. How far is SB to drive? I grew up near WDW (an hour away), so I am excited to go see the original. I am thinking of booking Candy Cane, it looks perfect. I assume the layout is easy to get around and two/three days at DL and then a few days in SB would work. I want to go to wine country and Napa is too far, so I thought this would be a good option for us. Any thoughts or comments appreciated!

The Candy Cane is a favorite on the boards and is definitely close to Disneyland, it's about an easy 10 minute walk -- evidently the beds at the Candy Cane Inn are really comfortable!
