Saving footsteps at the airport

I’m not familiar with the exact layout of MCO/OIA. We’re staying at the airport Hyatt for two nights. After we arrive, would it be quicker/easier to:

Go to National, get our car and drive to an entrance more convenient to the hotel

Or:

Walk to the hotel, check in and get the family settled in the room and I go back to National to get the car?

I think it would be easier to get the room first since the hotel is right in the middle of the airport. The car rental place is all the way downstairs and you have to go to the parking garage across the road to get the car.

When we stayed at the hotel, they delivered the car to us and we just picked it up at the valet stand
