Ok, this just got me thinking??

We are going for 14 days in September, but only got park hoppers for 10 days. They don't have to be used consecutively do they? I was going to spread out the days we are not going to the parks.

they do NOT have to be used consecutivly. But
unless you got the no expiration, they do expire (I think 14 days though it could be longer) after the first use.

You can use the 10 days anytime during your trip, you don't need to use the days together. The ticket will expire 14-days after it is used for the first time.

They do expire 14 days after 1st use, so I'd make my 1st and possibly 2nd day there the days I do something else just to make sure you have enough time left on them.

If you use one the first day, they will be good your whole trip. Fourteen days after first use would be day fifteen, the day after you leave.
Just make sure you schedule four days of not going to the parks, or add the water parks option for $50/person and you can go to Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and Disney Quest on those days.
