You will know the schedule the day before your departure date but it is normally 3 to 4 hours before your departure time.

3-4 hours sounds about right. In short, they schedule enough time that there's zero chance of missing your flight.

The exact answer is that it's 3 hours plus-or-minus 15 minutes from your flight departure time for DOMESTIC flights, and 4 hours +/- 15 minutes for INTERNATIONAL flights.

On the morning of the day before your departure day, you'll get a DME notice in your room (under the door or hanging on the outside doorknob). It will tell you your assigned bus time, and will instruct you to be at the proper place at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time. The time they tell you is the time the bus is scheduled to LEAVE your resort, not the time it's scheduled to arrive. They can and will leave people behind if they don't follow these instructions.

Each resort potentially gets 2 DME pick-ups each hour. Each resort has a time schedule of potential pick-ups that are 30 minutes apart, such as :05 and :35 after the hour, or :10 and :40 after the hour, and so on. That's why the time for domestic flights is 3 hours +/- 15 minutes rather than exactly 3 hours.

Please note that the DME buses don't come EVERY 30 minutes like clockwork. The do resort pick-ups ONLY when there is a reservation for that resort at that time. In other words, if no one from your resort has DME pick-up reservations for a 5:00 p.m. flight, then no bus will arrive at around 2:00 p.m. to do a DME pick-up.

And DME buses NEVER mix pick-ups and drop-offs ... each bus does one or the other at a time.
