Comparing early Oct. to late Oct.??

Would anyone tell me the difference in weather (heat!), crowds, etc. between early and late Oct.? We have a trip booked for Oct. 3, but I am extremely nervous about the heat/humidity. I'm wondering if I should push it back a few weeks? Help! Thanks!

We went Oct. 5th - 11th last year and were pleasantly surprised by the weather. The crowds were low (especially Monday - Wednesday) There were a couple of hot days towards the end of our trip, but overall we were very comfortable. However, my friends usually go around the 3rd week in October and say the weather is fantastic! Good luck with whatever you decide.

We generally go the 1st or 2nd week of October and the weather is beautiful. Hot enough to swim, but not oppressive. Don't get me wrong, each trip we have had at least one day that was hotter than others, but it is still so much better than summer. And it's beautiful in the evening.
