July 30, 1990 – Disney’s unsold pilot “The Knife & Gun Club” aired on ABC.
June 30, 1993 – Disney acquired the independent film production house Miramax Films. Disney will gain the rights to Miramax’s Library of more than 200 films and agreed to finance all future Miramax Productions.
June 30, 1995 – The Disney/Hollywood Pictures film “Judge Dredd” was released.
June 30, 1996 - Disney’s Boardwalk Inn & Villas opened at WDW.
June 30, 1999 – Disney’s Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra performed at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center in N.Y.C.
June 30, 2000 – An armed man, distraught over a marital dispute, surrendered to Florida Police after holding his 4 yr. old son and a room service waiter hostage in a room at WDW’s Boardwalk Inn for over 9 hours.
June 30, 2001 – The “Club Buzz – Lightyear’s Above the Rest” Restaurant opened in Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
June 30, 2003 – Singer Toni Braxton made her debut appearance in Disney’s Broadway show “Aida.”
June 30, 2005 – The United States Postal Service released the second set of “The Art of Disney” stamps entitled “Celebration.” They feature Mickey & Pluto, Alice & the Mad Hatter, Aeriel & Flounder, and Snow White & Dopey.
June 30, 2006 – The 10th episode of “Hannah Montana,” “O Say, Can You Remember The Words?” aired for the first time on the Disney Channel.
