A guy I work with has a friend who went to a party that Mario Lemieux threw at his house for the team. He shared the pix with me so I share with you...

Thanks for sharing. Very cool to see that. I had seen one of the Cup in the pool, but the rest were a lot of fun to see.

Well you can bet that the one in the pool wasn't the REAL Cup.

There are two of them from what I've read. One that remains in one place, and the other that gets passed around amongst the teammates.

Correct me if I'm wrong. :)

I once did a research paper on the NHL and I believe that indeed that SHOULD be the "real" cup. There was a replica made in the 90s to serve as a stand-in at the Hall of Fame whenever the real cup is out on the road. You can pretty much do whatever you want with it on "your day," it's always accompanied by a hall of fame representative.

A girl at work got to touch the Cup (she has pictures) and her boyfriend got a picture with Bill Guerin. They ended up going to buy T-shirts at the arena and went up to the Mariott bar and the Cup was there (Bylsma has been living there). I saw it the following day at PNC Park from a distance.

There is a neat video on Pens TV about the history and the keeper of the Cup answers a lot of questions about it.
