Bugs in August

Going to WDW 8/9-8/15. How's the bugs during that time? Are there a lot of mosquitoes? Do I need to bring bug spray?

Been to Disney many times (in August a few) and I've never needed bug spray at all.
we went last sept and the time before that in aug and we didn't have problems with bugs at all.

Don't rememer even 1 bug the past 2 August trips.
However, once in December, there was some sort of biting bug in the sand at FW while watching the electrical water pagent

YUCK! Those biting bugs were sand fleas. Disney really has a handle on the bugs, I don't think you need to worry about them in August. Have fun. :mickey:

Never had a problem with bugs any time of the year at WDW except the sand fleas at CBR on the beach. I got ate up on my feet just walking across the sand to the hammocks. Twice a year the "love bugs" come out all over FL but they don't bite or anything and are generally just a nucience. They are only out in the spring and fall though.

We've been in hot and muggy september, and no mosquitoes - they must spray the heck out of that property!

When i went end of August last year, didnt find any mosquitoes. I never brought bug spray.
