Odd question, tipping

Hi! We are new members and taking our first official DVC trip next week (YAY:cloud9:)
I know that they only do room service at certain points in the trip - when is this usually and do we just tip as usual for those days? Thanks:thumbsup:

We usually tip on the days that they come in. Below is what they will do and when.

Housekeeping

Trash & Towel Service
For stays of seven or less nights, Trash & Towel Service is provided on day four, regardless of whether you're using Member-discounted cash, Vacation Points or a combination of both.

With Trash & Towel service, Housekeeping will:

Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins.
Provide fresh bathroom linens.
Replace shampoo, facial soap and bath soap.
Replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper.
Replenish coffee, sugar, cream and sweeteners.
Replenish dishwashing liquid, dishwashing detergent, sponges and laundry detergent as needed in one-, two- and three-bedroom Vacation Homes.

Full Cleaning Service
For stays of eight or more nights, Full Cleaning Service is provided on day four and Trash & Towel Service is provided on day eight. After that, the cycle begins again on day 12, regardless of whether you're using Member-discounted cash, Vacation Points or a combination of both.

With Full Cleaning service, Housekeeping will provide everything included with the Trash & Towel Service, plus:

Change the bed linens.
Vacuum and dust the Vacation Home.
Clean the bathroom(s).
Clean the kitchen/kitchenette and wash the dishes.

The reservation letter I received by mail lists the dates of housekeeping service. I have never made an online reservation, so I'm not sure if the confirmation is by letter or email in that case.

One more question - we are going with a group of four adults - does anyone know how many towels there are in a 1br villa? Thanks

We almost always cancell our trash and towel service since there is a washing machine in the 1bv and 2bv. and the trash never makes it to trash day anyway.

Does anyone know the cost of adding a "full service" clean day? We have friends that are staying with us for a few nights and I would want to arrange for housekeeping to clean the day they leave, since my kids will use the room that night. Also can we do this add on just once or does it have to be everyday? TIA:mickey:
