Upgrade?

We are going to WDW for our honeymoon in July. We were thrilled with the 4/3 offer but for one little thing. We had been planning to do POP and upgrade to a king bed room, but were told when we called to book that the king rooms were not included in the 4/3 offer. I would really love to have the king room for our honeymoon. Would I make a pleasant plea/request at check in, or is there another way to go with this? I am okay if we don't get the king room, don't get me wrong...

It is my understanding that the king beds rooms are limited, and probably pretty popular. It doesn't hurt to ask at check in, there are only three outcomes.

1. No!
2. Sure, enjoy your stay!
3. That will be an additional $xx.xx should I put that on your card?
