Tickets for the D23 Walt Disney Studio Tour went on sale (free tickets) at 11:00am today.

I got on at 11:00am today when it started and they were already sold out. How do these people do this? This happened with the Mansion Event also!!:fit:

Aww! Sorry Chescat. I have been toying with the idea of joining D23. This tour sounded like so much fun. I was one of the lucky ones that got a HM event ticket. I got on before the hour (about 5 or 10 minutes) so that I was to the click to buy page. Clicked on that on the hour and got finished buying my ticket at 15 minutes after the hour. I had three other friends (you know them) trying the same approach. All of us but one got through the whole process. :tink:

The problem is lack of any real IT department at Disney! They continue to run into the same problems every event they simply can't handle anything online which is ridiculous! I attempted to check in online and the site has been down for about 3 days some new service they offered us. Cat I would call D23 and complain

I found this posted on another site from the D23 site. Apparently from what I have seen on other Disney sites, Cats expierence was common. Also, it seems that if you had your pop-up blocker on you were not offered a waiting list. So, we all need to keep that in mind for future events. I think I am leaning toward joining D23 anyways, as the chance of this tour being offered again looks positive. :tink: They had this posted:

"Thanks to the enthusiasm of D23 Members, interest in our special tours of the Walt Disney Archives was extraordinarily high — so much so, that the first round of tours has been filled to capacity. For those D23 Members who were unable to make tour reservations, rest assured we are exploring ways to offer additional tours later this year! Be sure to watch your D23 FanFare for more details. Thanks again for your interest! "
