View Full Version : Liberty Tree Tavern - Character Dining?

Does Liberty Tree still offer character dining? I thought I saw a post somewhere that it was discontinued as of January 5, 2009. I believe it was called "Liberate Your Appetite" dining, but I'm not clear if that means they no longer offer character dining at all at that restaurant OR if it was just a particular program in that one restaurant that was discontinued.

No, it is no longer ofered at Liberty Tree Tavern. There are rumors of it's return, but nothing solid. I don't expect it to return, it's been too long since it was pulled with no negative impacts to profits.

Exactly! There is no longer any character dining at LTT.

We miss it, it was one of our favourites, but I'm not holding my breath for it to come back.

1) A lot, I mean A LOT, of manpower savings.
2) As mentioned, profit margin has not suffered.
3) PLUS, it gives a non-character dining options in MK.
4) This has been wanted by many for a long time.

Of all my trips to WDW when going to the magic kingdom, we always made resv. at the Liberty tree tavern for dinner. It seemed extra special with the charactors...what a shame....:(

I found the food to be so so. The only reason to eat there was the character dining. Unless they bring it back I won't be eating there again.

It seemed to be getting a little too hectic in there with the characters. Does anyone remember when it was so quiet??? Before there were characters there??:secret:

1) Alas, I remember both.
2) Maybe without characters the kids will be fewer.
3) Or, at least be quieter.

1)The change to non-character dining was very disappointing.
2) We enjoyed the previous character dining format.
3) We will not return without the characters present.
