We're going to Boardwalk on Thursday 15 Oct., after we arrive mid-afternoon. Since this will be our first visit, we want to check everything out and then decide on a place for dinner. Will the Boardwalk entrance (front gate) let us in if we do not have an ADR? We want to use valet parking ~ will we just go to the Boardwalk hotel entrance to find the valet? Any info would be appreciated and THANKS in advance.

Yes, you will be able to valet at the Boardwalk without an ADR. The valets are right outside the main entrance and will be at your car to assist you almost immediately. Have a great time!

May I suggest Big River Grill and setting outside under one of the umbrella tables if its not too hot. Shouldn't be in Oct. The view is great and food is good and the beer is awlsome.

You will have no problem. Boardwalk is one of the few hotels where you don't get harrassed because of the Boardwalk itself. Its an attraction of sorts

There won't be any problem going to the Boardwalk without ressies. It's an open area just like DTD. They have shops and entertainment as well as restaurants. You can walk around and visit the other area resorts as well.

Do you plan on eating on the Boardwalk? You may need ressies if you want to eat at The Flying Fish. Sometimes you cannot always get an "on the spot" ressie. The Boardwalk can become a VERY busy, bustling place at times. Especially, if it is a beautiful evening. We LOVE the BWI and will not stay anywhere else. It is our "second home"

Have an awesome time!!
