June 10, 1998 – The BET Soundstage Club, opened at the former site of the Neon Armadillo at WDW’s Pleasure Island.
June 10, 1998 – The Disney/Touchstone film “Big Business” was released.
June 10, 2000 – To mark the reopening of “Indiana Jones Spectacular” at Disney-MGM Studios’ after a 6 month rehab, Disney invited 500 Floridians with the last names Jones, to be in the audience for the grand reopening show.
June 10, 2003 – Disney’s “The Jungle Book 2” was released on DVD and VHS.
June 10, 2005 – The Disney Channel Original Movie “Go Figure” aired.
June 10, 2005 – Disney’s animated film “Howl’s Moving Castle” had its premiere in New York and Los Angeles. (General release was June 17, 2005)
June 10, 2006 – A brush fire continued to burn near WDW. A smoky odor and light haze surrounded the resort property. Parts of U.S. 192 still remained closed.
June 10, 2006 – The “Hanna Montana” episode “Ooh, Ooh, Itchy Woman” debuted on the Disney Channel.
June 10, 2006 – Disney Channel Australia aired “High School Musical” for the first time.
June 10, 2007 – The Broadway cast of “Mary Poppins” performed live at the 61st Annual Tony Awards held at N.Y.C.’s Radio City Music Hall. (Among the nominations for “Mary Poppins” was Best Musical, Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical, Best Choreography, and Best Lighting Design for a Musical.) “Mary Poppins” Bob Crowley took home a Tony for Best Scenic Design of a Musical.
