My mom is going to Disney in December. she needs a normal wheelchair. I had heard that the hotels offer them to their guests for free..has anyone heard that? and how do you get one?

thanks.

My mother and MIL both needed wheelchairs back in 2004. The resort let them use them for the entire stay, free of charge.

who would i call about this? i called the resort directly and the lady said that the wheelchairs would take the guests to their room...and to the bus stops, but you could't take them to the parks.

We are leaving on Saturday and I called our resort months ago (POFQ) and was told that we could use the wheelchair and take it to and from the parks. However, we weren't allowed to reserve the wheelchair, so basically if there isn't one available when we arrive, we're out of luck. I am now looking into renting one for my dd, age 8, from a local medical supply company. The rates seem pretty reasonable.

Hope that helps,
