The Banners now have audio?

I don't care, just never noticed it before.

Moused over it to start the audio? Or was it just playing? The ads have been upgraded to allow large size which use more flash apparently.

It just plays. I about jumped out of my chair.:faint:

Need to know...

1) What the ad is for
2) What page you saw/heard it on
3) Whether it was at the top or the bottom of the page

We're not supposed to have "intrusive" campaigns running on the site which means audio shouldn't start itself.

Just happened on this page. It is for a Free Wii.
Banner is at top of page. Did not mouse over it, it just played.

Ok - Thanks. Obviously a switch is off or something. Of course, I am refreshing like mad and am not getting them but I am guessing they are all up top.

Well, the main ad server has it blocked and I have contacted the secondary to try to sort it all thru. May take a few days if it's possible at all to eliminate.

John, just FYI...

I haven't gotten it at all; using both IE7 and Chrome.

I have. I got it several times yesterday - offers for free WII. Didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when it would suddenly "announce". It would disappear as soon as I clicked on a post.

Okay, I had not gone anywhere near the banner when just a moment or two ago I got another very loud audio - "We have a mystery gift that can be yours. Just click on the banner to see what it is." These seem to come out of the blue without any rhyme or reason,

Now, when clicking on "Intercot Boards", I get the "Free Nintendo WII" audio.

And, again, when I post a reply. Plus, I get the bonus of "You've been selected to recieve a free MacBook Air"

It seems to be associated with when certain banner ads come scrolling though. Nothing happens with some of them - with others, audio sounds regardless of what you click on or don't click on. I've now been offered two free I-Pods.

Right - I have contacted our ad serving company and there's not much I can do till they respond. It's also apparent the ads are targeted as I don't seem to get them.

Still haven't experienced this myself.

Personally, I blame those evil dolls! :thedolls::thedolls::thedolls::thedolls:

I just was offered a free Wii and jumped out of my chair when the offer came up. The funny thing is it happened at work during a fairly quite time so I had everyone ask what I was up to.

Busted at work on Intercot:blush:.

Anyone still having this issue?
